Founded in 2001 as Cayo Cable Vision, Central TV & Internet embarked on its journey by serving the vibrant communities of San Ignacio Town, Santa Elena, and Esperanza Village, offering a modest range of channels from 2 to 65. Driven by a vision of growth and innovation, we expanded our services to Central Farm and Georgeville the following year.
A transformative milestone arrived in 2007 when we undertook a major network upgrade. By incorporating state-of-the-art fiber optics into our existing copper network and modernizing our hardware, we were able to offer an impressive 125 channels, including Digital and HD options, and lay the groundwork for High-Speed Internet services.
By 2009, our reach extended to Belize City, encompassing most villages along the way. In 2010, we rebranded as Central Cable Vision, opening branches in Belize City, Belmopan City, and San Ignacio, where our customers began enjoying Digital and HD channels via Set-Top Boxes. The introduction of DiBo (Digital Boss) in September 2012 marked a leap forward, adding a sophisticated digital recording system (DVR) to our suite of services.
Recognizing the critical role of internet connectivity, we rebranded as Central TV & Internet in 2013. Our commitment to innovation was evident with the launch of our first video content streaming app in September 2014. Our expansion continued with new offices in Benque Viejo in 2015 and the launch of The National Channel (TNC10) in 2016.
In 2017, we introduced an advanced DVR and our Headend headquarters, enabling us to deliver internet speeds of up to 100 Mbps. Embracing the rapid advancements in technology and digital TV, we continually enhance our network to provide higher speeds and greater bandwidth, ensuring an extraordinary content experience. Today, Central TV & Internet offers a comprehensive range of WiFi and entertainment services.
