A Backpack Full of Dreams
From August 24th to August 28th, 2026, the Nexgen team hit the road alongside Miss Earth Belize, representatives from the Social Investment Fund (SIF Belize), and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology. Our shared mission: to deliver over 600 backpacks packed with essential school supplies to deserving children across rural Belize. We visited 18 schools and organizations, starting from Na Luum Ca in Toledo, then through Stann Creek, Cayo, Belize Rural, and Orange Walk, before concluding our Backpack Distribution in Ranchito, Corozal.
Seeing bright smiles light up young faces and watching the relief wash over parents as their children received their supplies was deeply heartwarming. Before handing over each bag, we shared a simple message with the students:
“Your backpack carries your books, pens, and pencils, but you carry your dreams in your heart. Believe in yourself, because we believe in you and know you are capable of incredible things this school year.” At each stop, the children were reminded and encouraged to dream big and stay curious about learning.
Investing in these young minds is an investment in the future of our communities. We are honoured to play a part in clearing the path for Belize’s next generation of leaders and changemakers. In addition to this initiative, we contributed to the communities we serve by providing new backpacks to students in Benque, Camalote Village, and Belize City. We distributed over 1,000 backpacks to support bright minds as they prepare for the new school year.
